Flow Control Valve (also known as Cut-off Valve)

A flow control valve is a mechanical flow-control type check valve. It is typically installed in the connecting pipe between the transformer and the oil conservator. In the event of large-scale oil overflow or leakage caused by internal faults or other reasons within the transformer, the flow control valve features a “close upon oil discharge” function, immediately cutting off the oil path between the conservator and the main tank. This prevents the conservator from supplying additional oil to the tank, making it an ideal auxiliary safety protection device for oil-immersed power transformers.
